Sigma Chi Delta

Welcome to Sigma Chi Delta, the only non-academic Co-ed fraternity at Cornell. We are an independent fraternity founded here in 1981 on the principles of brotherhood, leadership, and service. Our House is located at 116 Heights Court, just off Wyckoff on North campus.

If you are interested in joining Sigma Chi Delta, be sure to contact any of our actives or stop by for a house dinner for more information. We have house dinners every friday night at about 7:30 PM and all are welcome.

Sigma Chi Delta was founded on the following principles:

Brotherhood

We believe that everyone should have the chance to enjoy living, leading, serving, and having lots of fun with a house full of brothers (and sisters!) regardless of what your major is, what you look like, how much money you have, or what your other extracurriculars are. Our alumni are also very tight-knit and always ready to help connect new members with opportunities during life after Cornell.

Leadership

We offer many leadership opportunities with a variety of offices open to our brothers and sisters in the house and in Cornell’s Interfraternity Council.

Service

Every spring, you can find the brothers and sisters of SCD selling beautiful blue irises on campus to raise money for the Tompkins County chapter of the Special Olympics. Additionally, we have several service events each year, including recurring trips to visit our senior friends at the Lakeside Senior Center.
